Bobby Reyes

Bobby Reyes was born in San Antonio in 1950. While still a college student, Bobby began what would be a long and varied career in radio broadcasting that is still going strong today.

He began in 1972 as an announcer at KQXT-FM.  He would go on to work as a production assistant, newsroom associate producer, production supervisor, on-air personality, and control board operator … at a total of 12 radio stations in San Antonio and Corpus Christi. And, just for good measure, he also worked at two TV stations.

From 1973 to 1979, Bobby worked as an announcer and production assistant at KEEZ, KISS, KITE, and legendary KEXL Radio.  He moved to Corpus… then in 1981, returned to San Antonio and KISS Radio. 3 years later, Bobby moved to KESI. He did a short stint at KMOL-TV then joined KLLS Radio in 1985.

In 1987 Bobby went to work at KONO AM and FM as an on-air personality.

Since 1987 he has been bass guitarist for the local production of The Gridiron Show, a media participation program sponsored by the Society of Professional Journalists.

In 1992, Bobby moved to WOAI Radio … where he still works today.
