Ken Carter

Ken Carter was born in Slaton, Texas, in 1936.  He began his career in broadcasting in 1959 while still in college.

Ken attended the University of Texas in Austin, North Texas State University in Denton and Arlington State in Fort Worth.

During those early years of his broadcasting career, he once worked with well-known comedian, George Carlin, at KXOL Radio in Fort Worth.

In 1966, Ken came to San Antonio and went to work for KONO as a radio and TV news anchor.  Later he worked as news director at KKYX Radio for 11 years.

Ken passed away in February 2008.
